¿Cómo se escriben correctamente (mayúsculas o minúsculas) los nombres compuestos de plantas y animales?Por ejemplo:Gaviota chica o Gaviota Chica o gaviota chica.Yerba bruja o Yerba Bruja o yerba bruja.Gracias por la cátedra.

Respuesta: 

Los nombres comunes de animales y plantas se escriben con minúscula. Pero si uno de los elementos del nombre es un nombre propio, este va con mayúscula. En cuanto a su denominación cientifica, que es una expresión formada por dos palabras, se escribe con mayúscula solo la primera (que designa el género). Ejemplos: victoria regia (Victoria amazonica), pez espada (Xiphias gladius), puerco espín (Coendou rothschildi), flor de Santa Lucía (Commelina erecta).
